What is your sales policy?

All Resident Objects sales are final—please ensure you are fully committed to an item when you are purchasing. We will not accept returns if you have a change of heart.

What if my order arrived broken?

We are so bummed that your order didn’t arrive in tact! If this happens, email us residentobjects@gmail.com with clear photos of the damages as well as the exterior of the box showing the label. From here we will file an insurance claim and hopefully have a refund prepared for you within 7-10 business days. Please note, in order to receive an insurance refund, we must be emailed the above photos within 30 days of delivery.

Do you have an in person store I can view items at?

No! Our team of two currently operates out of our own homes! We are not able to accommodate viewing an item in person before purchasing. After we photograph an item, it is strategically placed in our storage unit for maximum space usage. Sometimes digging out an item for viewing takes one to two hours and we just aren’t set up to consistently do this.

We totally understand wanting to see an item in person before purchase and we hope to have a showroom in the future where you can shop everything in person. But until then, we do our best to accurately describe every item and photograph any flaws. If you’d like additional photos we’d be more than happy to dm or email them to you! We usually take a ton of photos!

How does LA local pickup work?

*UPDATE: As of 9/24/2023 we are only offering LA local pickup for NON FURNITURE AND ART at The Frogtown Flea Crawl which we are at once a month. Details will be sent to the email address you used at checkout.

When you select LA local pickup at checkout, we will send you a detailed email with pickup instructions within 24 hours. Please note, when selecting LA local pickup instead of shipping you have TWO WEEKS to pickup up your items. Should you need more time, let us know as soon as you can and we will be able to make an exception.

If an item is left for over 2 weeks or you miss 2 scheduled pickups without notice, it will be considered abandoned and subject to relisting or donation without refund.

How soon will my order ship?

We do our best to process all orders within 5-7 business days. Once an order is in the hands of the USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc we can no longer guarantee its exact arrival day or time.

Are international orders responsible for customs?

Resident Objects is not responsible for customs charges accrued in your country. The shipping we charge covers only the cost we are charged by the postal service to ship your package. We are not able to predict or prepay customs fees for you. To avoid unpleasant surprises, refer to your home postal service's customs and imports standards.
